We are a full-service grooming salon catering to all breeds of dogs. Tip of the Tail was founded in 2001 by Denise Queen. Denise has recently decided to pursue other dreams of hers and has entrusted a long time professional dog groomer and employee of hers to take over and carry on the Tip of the Tail legacy. Renee Bengough is the new current owner of Tip of the Tail and eager to provide the best quality care available to your pet and you.
I, Renee Bengough, have been a professional dog groomer for 29 years and counting. I have always taken pride in my ability to develop a relationship with your pet and feel that each and every one of them are part of my unique family. I have an uncanny ability to understand each and every personality, and take much pride in that fact. Here at Tip of the Tail, we allow the dogs the necessary time they require to become comfortable with us , our establishment and the bathing and grooming routine. Most dogs are at ease right from the start, but there are others that require some extra special attention. We will gladly make the necessary adjustments to make your pet more comfortable, even if it takes extra time. We want the whole grooming experience to be a pleasant one so they are eager to come back and spend some quality time with us. There is nothing more satisfying then knowing a pooch is excited and happy to see us and spend some part of their day with us.
At Tip of the Tail, your pet will receive superior care. Shampoos are all natural, hypo-allergenic and tearless. Services include regular bathing, skunk baths, flea baths, blow-drying, de-matting, nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, and custom styling. If it's just a quick nail trim you desire, or just want a bath to freshen your pet, please still call and make an appointment so we can allow the sufficient time required. Due to increases business volume, we can no longer accept walk in nail trims.
A typical grooming includes pre-bath roughing in (combing, brushing, de-matting if necessary), 2 baths, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning and a haircut when necessary. Dental cleaning is available at a small additional price.
It is highly recommended that upon scheduling your appointment, you give us full details on the condition of your pet and grooming requirements. That will ensure that we block off sufficient time to care for your pet. Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, your pet might spend a little extra time with us, anywhere from 2-4 hours has been the normal. We will inform you upon drop off of an approximate pick up time, but we will always call when your pet is ready.
Feel free to contact Owner and Groomer, Renee Bengough, with any other questions you may have. I am always trying to update the website so check back regularily. Please, also, feel free to suggest anything or give us feedback, whether positive or negative. Every opinion counts. :)
Two ways to request an appointment:
Call us at (440) 777-9624
Please remember, the on-line appointment link is only a request. We do not have the ability to have clients make there own appointments due to the fact that we would end up having some days with too many big dogs, or too many hairy dogs. Every day is different in the grooming business and we like to have a nice balance of breeds for the day.
We are also trying out texting as an option. Sometimes we cannot hear the phone or leave a dog unattended to answer. Texting is easier because we can do it quickly and easily at our convenience. Please feel free to text anytime at 440-915-1225 and I will get back to you as soon as possible or at least by the end of the day.
Thank you for visiting us.
